Mike Gately began his underwater adventure in 1974, when he completed his NAUI Open Water Certification.

He spent 4 years serving our country in the military as an Air Traffic Controller from 1975-1979. Utilizing those skills, he pursued a career as an Air Traffic Controller, retiring from the FAA in 2009.

He continued to educate himself in his passion of diving, with the following certifications from PADI:

• Advanced Open Water (1998)

• Rescue Diver (2001)

• Dive Master (2002)

• Instructor (2012)
